LUCKNOW: Senior Samata Party leaders Rabi Ray and Mohan Singh, held talks with Samajwadi Panychict Mulayam Singh Yadav here, “The talks were cordial and fruitful,” according to Mr. Ray. Mr, Ray said that his party had decided to join hands with the National Froot (NF) and the Left(LF) to ensure that both the Congress and the BJP swore defeated in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. » Mr, Ray added that talks with the Janata Dal were in, progress. The former Speaker of the Lok Sabha said the Samata Party would strive to root out corruption, strengthen secularism ‘and Gicht for social justice. Asserting that the days of the Congress were numbered and that the Dalits, the OBCs, the minorities and the unemployed youth would not allow the BJP to rectum to power, he said since the Samaj wadi Party and the Janata Dal has decided to join hands and the Samata Party was also in the process of doing so, there were bright prospects of all secular and democratic forces coming together on a common platform.

Asked if there could be any problem in the distribution of seats among various parties, Mr. Ray hoped that the issue would be sorted out amicably. “Those they would read the writing on the wall,” he added.
