BOMBAY(PTI): Kamatakas 14year-old Sajini Shetty a breast stroke specialist July 3 created an all-time all-age Indian record in her pet event the 200 meters in the 21st junior national aquatics championship here.
Sajini winner of four gold’s at the last national games in Pune where she broke Geeta Anands 10-yearold meet mark in the 200 m breast stroke bettered that show by shattering stalemate Shahnaz Shaeoors nine-year-old mark the best ever by an Indian in the event by a whopping 4.55 seconds on way to taking her Second individual gold medal in the five day meet at the Andheri pool here.
Sajini won the race in splendid fashion by touching home far ahead of the rest in two mins 47.64 sec to win the event for under-15 girls. Shahnazs previous Indian best was 2:52.19.
