GUWAHATI: Militants of the United Liberation from of Assam (ULFA) Monday gunned down Rohini Saikia, younger brother and driver of the Congress leader Hitherward Saikia, at Simaluguri, about 400 KM from here in eastern Assam state,
Official sources said that Saikia fell to bullets from automatic weapons when he was going from his Nazira residence to Simaluguri.
Saikia, who was connected with various political, sports and social organisations, had unsuccessfully contested by elections
