JAMMU: The Bharatiya Janata Party demanded that Jammu and Kashmir Governor K.V.Krishna Rao be “sacked” for what it termed as “irresponsible and immature Statements” regarding holding of elections in the state “ignoring the ground realities,” reports UNI. Addressing a press conference here, state unit president Chaman Lal Gupta said Home Minister S.B.Chavan should “advise” the President to “ask Rao to resign as the head of the state.”
Gupta said whereas Chavan had stated in Bombay recently that there was no question of holding elections in Jammu and Kashmir in the near future, Rao and Minister of State for Home Rajesh Pilot had been saying that elections would be held.
