MODESTO, CA: The funeral service of S. “Santokh” Sagid Singh Samra was held here at the Lakewood Funeral Home on July 1 amid heart rending scenes.
Santokh Singh had died in a tragic accident during a visit to the native village Samari in Punjab on June 24. The body was flown back here for cremation as the family is settled here.
Hundreds of Sikhs had come for the service from far and near to pay their last respects.
Santokh Singh’s mother and sisters were inconsolable and wept all through the three hour ceremony.
