FRESNO, CA: The Sikh Students Federation of Fresno State University has achieved a big goal in bringing Sikh history and the problems they face in India to the attention of the American public and have explained why Sikhs demand Khalistan.

Parminder Singh Dhillon, a public affairs representative for §.S.F.at Fresno State University said in a press release that members of S.S.F. Fresno State were invited by the local affiliate of CBS (KJEO 47) to clear the stereotypes between Sikhs and Arabians and to discuss the problems Sikhs are facing in India.

He further explained that the federation was interviewed for 12 minutes and also segments of the tape called “Who are the Sikhs” was shown, The Federation considers this to be the biggest achievement in their ‘Informational Campaign’ which is aimed at teaching the American and Sikh public about the persecution of Sikhs by the Barbaric Indian government. In explaining another issue, Dhillon said that the federation has mailed over 2000 copies of the signed petitions to about 4050 Congressmen and Senators of the U.S. Congress. He said, “through petitions we have asked them to look into the Human Rights Violation being exercised by the Indian Government.” He further explained that the students from University of California, Berkeley played a big role in getting petitions signed by Sangat.
