Chandigarh: It has been decided to elect S, Nirmal Singh Advocate, an MLL.A. from Fatehgarh Churian as the new Deputy Speaker of Punjab Assembly. His name was proposed by the Chief Minister, S. Surjit Singh Barnala and it was unanimously approved by the House in the session that ended a few days ago. S. Nirmal Singh is a close associate of S.G.P.C President S. Gurcharan Singh Tohra.
