AMRITSAR: The SGPC has ab solved Dr.(Mrs) Rita Joshi, Head, Department of Medical History, Allahabad University, for allegedly distorting Sikh history in the book titled “Aurangzeb Aur Hinduon Ke Sambandh.” Dr Joshi met the SGPC chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra, during jis recent visit to New Delhi and submitted a written apology for hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community. She clarified that the book has been written by one of her students and she has written only its foreword without going through the contents of the book. All the copies of that book, she told Thora, had been confiscated.
DrJoshi, a daughter of late H.N. Bahuguna, a former Chief Minister of U.P. and a former federal Minister, said that she had great regard for the Sikh Gurus.
