NEW DELHI: The income tax department, in countrywide raids, has unearthed assets worth over rupees 60 million including cash and jewelry from the business and residential premises of over fifty edible oil manufacturers and dealers. A large number of bank lockers have been sealed.

Duplicate books of accounts and incriminating documents have been seized by the authorities in the raids, an official spokesman said.

The spokesman said the searches were conducted in the residential and business premises.
