LAHORE:” A rousing welcome was given to Begum Gen Mohammad Zia Ul Haq on her arrival at the Lahore Airport on Tuesday. According to a Press Release the Chief Minister Punjab, Mr. Nawaz Sharif Provincial Minister for Local Government Pervaiz Elahi and other members of Punjab Cabinet were present on the occasion to receive her.
The crowd raised slogans of Marde Moman MardeHagq, Ziaul Haq Ziaul Hag.
This was first visit of Begum Zia ul Haq to provincial metropolis after the withdrawal of the Soviet forces from Afghanistan.
