MADRAS: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raised its reward for information about the suspected assassin of Rajiv Gandhi and her accomplice from Rs 500000 to Rs one million.
A reward “up to Rs 10 lakh” would be given to any person giving useful information or clue leading to the establishment of the identity of the two suspects depending on the quality of the information an announcement by Mr DR Karthikeyan heading the special investigation team (SIT) probing the assassination said.
The information could be given to the sit at ‘Malligai’ on Greenways road Adyar Madras Madras (Phone 839001 839095) where a-senior officer would be on duty round the clock it said.
The CBI also appealed to any of those injured in the Sriperumbudur blast even if the injuries were of a minor nature that might have gone away and got treated on their Own to come forward and intimate their addresses.
It also appealed to those in possession of any information or clue regarding the incident however insignificant they might feel it to be to pass it on to the special investigation team.
