Dear Editor,
When Mr. Beant says Sikhs are Hindus and belong to Hindu society he shows his true colors of ignorance He got in office with Only 20 of the vote all of a sudden he thinks he is “the wisdom” incarnated.
I wish Beant would stick to subjects he is familiar with i.e. how to sell out etc. He neither represents Punjab nor Sikhs. The reason he is where he is because majority in occupied Punjab didn’t ‘Want to legitimize India’s rule by participating in a fake election. His analogy Sikhs belong with Hindu society because they came out of them characteristically he is saying man is the decedent of monkeys therefore he should hang around trees Hah!
Problem with Mr Beant is he does not seen evil as ignorant folks he can only surmise what he sees through his eyes or hears via his ears. He sees evil in whites ruling in Africa because he can differentiate colors. But he doesn’t see evil in Commies ruling Russia. He fails to see evilness lies when one intimidates another in doing something they are not prone to do. Sikhs want to set their own destiny preserve their culture faith and free society. He may believe. Moguls were evil because they were trying to Islamize Hindus; but he doesn’t see evil when Hindus are trying to Hinduism non-Hindus in India I wonder what he thinks of Christians? If he believes Sikhs are Hindus then to him Christian must be Jews.
Someone needs to tell him Hindu is a Persian word meaning people living on the other side of Indus who believe in idols. Hinduism is Not a religion it is a philosophy of life by definition religion requires a Prophet his teachings and away to Worship Hinduism is based on Epics. Religious faiths are founded on reality. All great religions have similar convictions of One God and we are His children etc. What makes one religion different from another is the way one practices it not what one says but the way one lives it. Sikhism is a religion and a way of life we are unique.
There are five things which differentiate a Sikh from other practices of religion. One the form Unshom hair name Singh and wearing of the sword TWO the belief everyone has the right to worship one’s belief. Guru Teg Bhadar gave his life for the freedom of conscience and conviction of people belonging to a faith other than his own THREE The service: every religion and Society places the burden of service on poor. In Sikhism kings to pauper must serve their family mankind and God FOUR The community kitchen.
FIVE: The brotherhood of man equality and justice for all.
Mr. Beant we know heroes you are no hero “Quit telling us who we belong with.” We are living: proof of adaptability. We are at home throughout the World! For your information Sikhs are standing up to EVIL. The evil that is perpetrated on them and other minorities of the Indian continent.
