We, the Sikhs of the World seek your intervention in support of justice, peace and freedom to bring an end to the genocide of the Sikhs in India and to use your good office to impress upon the Indian government the following points:

  1. End occupation of the Sikh homeland (Khalistan) and live up to the internationally recognized standards of law and respect the political, religious and human rights of the Sikh people and the Sikh Nation.
  2. Post UN observers in Punjab until people of the Punjab have an opportunity to express their political aspirations through legitimate democratic means.
  3. Allow an international Red Cross team to monitor and help victims of the undeclared war by the Indian government on the Sikhs.
  4. Allow all Human rights organizations like Amnesty International and Asia Watch etc. a free access into Punjab and Kashmir to monitor violations of basic human rights by the Indian Govt.
  5. Government of India should repeal ‘Terrorist and Disruptive Activities act’ (TADA), ‘National Security Act’ (NSA) and such other legislations that virtually criminalize legitimate political dissent and free speech.
  6. Publish names of Sikhs who died in interrogation centers, during illegal detentions or staged fake encounters and those killed by security forces.
  7. Newly appointed Indian Ambassador to the United States, S.S.Ray former Governor of Punjab, should be withdrawn immediately as during his tenure as Governor of Punjab Ray introduced many of the above mentioned repressive laws and policies resulting in the death of thousands of innocent Sikh young boys.
