NEW DELHI: Lok Sabha Speaker Rabi Ray has announced his decision to accept Simranjit Singh Mann’s resignation from Lok Sabha. The Dal (M) chief had resigned a few days ago to protest against the Lok Sabha secretariat’s refusal to permit his entry into the building with his sword on. Mann wrote a long letter some time ago to the make out a case for carrying kirpan with him in the house. The Speaker instead of replying to the letter accepted the resignation. No other Dal (M) member has resigned nor has Mann asked them to resign.
