Simranjit Singh Mann has said that in case a war broke out between India and Pakistan Sikhs would remain neutral. He said as the government had not done justice to the Sikhs despite their numerous sacrifices during previous wars, and now it had no right to look for their help.

Mann was talking to newsmen at the Khalsa College Garhdiwala on the first death anniversary of. Kuldeep Singh Dhat, a former director of the Bhogpur Sugar Mills and Sarpanch of Amala Jattan, Mann said that the BJP which on destroying training camps of militants in Pakistan should send jathas to infiltrate into Pakistan just as they were doing. He said Akali Dal would present siropas to the Hindu jathas before they leave,

Commenting on the Baber Masjid Ram Temple issue Mann said that it will have far reaching consequences. He said his party will send jathas to defend the Muslim cause. He said the balance of power was in Sikh hands.

Commenting on PCC I general secretary Jagmit Singh Brar’s statement on the water issue, Mann said that the issue was first taken up by his party. He demanded clarification from Brar on the genocide committed during the Congress I regime. Brar had last week said his group would start filling up the SYL canal from August 15.

Mann confided his trust in the four militant organizations and the Damdami Taksal and said the center should bring them to the negotiating table. He said unless KPS Gill and his cops stop repression in the state, bloodshed would not cease. His party, he said, demanded much more than the Kashmiris wanted.
