HYDERABAD: A senior Congress party leader from the south, Dr. M. Chenna Reddy, was Friday unanimously elected as leader of the Congress (1) legislature party in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
He will shortly be sworn in as the Chief Minister, taking over from matinee idol Rama Rao, whose Telugu Desam party was defeated in recently held elections to the assembly in the state as well as the parliament.
