BOMBAY: Skipper Sanjay Manjrekar compiled the highest individual score for Bombay in the Ranji trophy with a monumental and blemish less innings of 377 to place the hosts in an impregnable position in their chairman challenge semi-final against Hyderabad here Thursday.
At stumps on the second day of the five-day tic Bombay resuming at the overnight first innings score of 323 for three wickets had notched up their highest-ever total of 807 for six wickets in the national championship.
The unbeaten batsmen at the end of a frustrating day under the hot sun for Hyderabad whose bowling was mercilessly slaughtered by Manjrekar Tendulkar (70) Vinod Kambli (126) Chandrakant Pandit (36) and Kulkarni (34).
