AGARTALA, India, Dec.18, and Reuter: Tribesmen fighting to force Bengali-speaking immigrants out of Tripura state in North-East India killed seven people on Friday, police said.
About 15 Tripura National Volunteer rebels shot dead seven members of a family and wounded two in Polkubari village in the south of the State. Police said the family and refused to give the guerrillas money.
More ‘than 2,000 people have been killed in rebel violence since the guerrilla group was formed in 1978.
