NEW DELHI, India: Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi, has got a new interest in target practice on Sunday mornings. According to Sunday Observer, every Sunday, Mr, Gandhi and his sixteen year old son, Rahul, go on shooting spree at his vacation house in Mehruli on the outskirts of Delhi, They spend hours in practicing with 9 mm pistol, shooting at a firing range especially installed in the farm house months ago. The Prime Minister and his family are known to religiously go every Sunday to Mehruli farm house. But till recently, they have been believed to spend their time relaxing. Now according to the eyewitness accounts, Mr. Gandhi and his son Rahul are busy most of mornings with target practice while wife Sonia and daughter Paryinka walk in the garden. It is not known yet why Mr. Gandhi, earlier not interested in guns at all, have taken up target practice with such a zeal, He has apparently redoubled his efforts to shoot straight after the security lapse at Raj Ghat, last month which led to an assassination attempt on his life.
