Yuba City: Last week’s Vaisakhi athletic tournaments to be held at Bouge Road in Yuba City were cancelled because of rain. The weather improved in the afternoon and because a large and enthusiastic crowd was on hand the Kabadi team from Canada played a scrimmage game with the Yuba City team the Canadian visitors won
Harbhajan S. Gill spokesman for the event told W.S.N that the basketball and volleyball games will be played this weekend and the wrestling and remaining athletic events will be held next week -weather permitting.
Gurmit S. Rai treasurer of Bouge Road Gurdwara and sports club an organizer of the event told W.S.N will try to keep the public informed of any further changes in the schedule.
