Dear editor,
I am a firm supporter of Khalistan no longer want to be associated with a country where the, holiest of my shrine can be buldozed and where my innocent brothers and sisters can be burnt alive and gang raped in full view ‘of the whole world and no action against the perpetrators even after 10 years.
Bat I know and all other supporters of Khalistan know that there is a sizeable population even among Sikhs which is opposed to the very idea of Khalistan these people raise Some Seemingly very valid cynics which need to be addressed if we want to gain the support of all Sikhs. I think we do need to systematically document and publish the answers to these questions to accelerate the formation and ensure permanent stability of Khalistan, These questions have been raised at various times but at least to my knowledge have not been adequately answered in any printed or published form.
Here is the list of these questions, and I hope that some sincere well informed and capable person will answer for the benefit of all concerned?
- What are the safe guards that Khalistan will not become a Jattistan where non Jat Sikhs and non-Sikhs will not find themselves discriminated? 2. What will be the fate of Sikhs and Gurdwaras left out of Khalistan? Will it be the same as Muslims left in India or Gurdwaras left in Pakistan in 1947?
3; what kind of special privileges, rights, economic opportunities will be available to Sikhs which they can never hope to have while living in India.
4What will be the political, economical and educational policies of Khalistan and how these will insure that Khalistan is counted as a well-respected and economically prosperous country in the world and not considered another Bosnia, Tran or Bangladesh?
5.Finally how Khalistan is going to promote and popularize the image of Khalsa so that the Sikhs all over the world will have all the incentives to maintain their identity rather than keep losing it at the present rate?
I will look forward to some thoughtful and convincing answers to these questions in these very columns please.
