WARANGAL (ANDHRA PRADESH) (PTI): Maoists extremists of the outlawed People’s War Group (PWG) blew up a police vehicle with a landmine at Bhoopalapalli, near here on July 8 killing a police sub inspector, his son and six police constables on the spot.
The incident took place when the police personnel were returning after paying wages to coal miners in Bhoopalapalli, near Warangal the seat of the movement the blast occurred nearly one km from the work site.
Police suspect that PWG’s armed Squads Venkanna Dalam of Agamnagar, Chandram Dalam of Karimnagar and Veokaanna Dalam of Chityal were behind the attack which they feel was in Retaliation of the death of a PWG Activist, in a recent encounter.
