Dear Editor,
I have seen excerpts from Punjab under Seige: A Critical Analysis reproduced in the edition of July 9, 93 and the accompanying editorial impressed me. It is encouraging observing that the newspaper is performing yeoman service to draw attention of the world at large, in general and the affected community in particular, to one of the most insidious and threatening issues that lurk in the region. Control and regulation of water has been used from time immemorial to rule and colonize people.
I have done some additional research on this issue and will be happy to send a piece or two for publication. I was intrigued that the paper did not mention my academic status and affiliation along with the authorship.
