Chandigarh India: Since the news of murder of S.S.P. and S.P, Patiala became known to the world, it was felt that some innocent Sikhs would be Made scape-goats and killed in the fake encounters bu branding them as in the disguise of so called “Killers or terrorists”, in order to Create a false impression of police effectiveness…
Such actions by the police became very common these days. The actual killers who have never been caught by the police at the Spot are generally replaced by those innocent young men who are already in their custody at police hideouts, without showing their formal arrests.
They are taken out from the police torture cells and killed in fake encounters.
Similar tactics have been put to action in the present case, too. Six Sikh young men including Lt. General Sharanjit Singh of Bhindranwale Tiger Force were killed by the police during the last week indifferent fake enounters story that so called “terrorists” were required by the police in various crimes, including murders was put forth by the police in such circumstances,
It may be recalled that a few weeks ago two senior police officers S.S.P. and, S.P., both posted ‘at Patiala were gunned down by some unidentified persons who left the killing scene, without any chase by the police, The bodies of these officers were cremated at their native villages Abul Khilana, Distr. Faridkot and in Amritsar district.
Patiala city observed a bund on the call of Hindu Sang harsh Samiti as a protest against the killings of the police.
In an other incident, two gunmen entering into a house in village Rampura Tehra District Hoshiarpur shot dead one Gharib Singh and assailant managed to escape. Later the police identified them as Mohinder Singh and Harjit Singh.
