The war in the Persian Gulf to liberate Kuwait was the only way to reverse its forcible occupation by its neighbor Iraq. The general sentiment is that the problem would have only grown bigger if Iraq under Saddam Hussein was not stopped now

Seen objectively ‘free’ India’s track record is far worse than Iraq’s. India forcibly occupied Kashmir in 1948 the Portuguese territory of Goa in 1962 and it was responsible for the partition of Pakistan in 1971. In 1976 it swallowed the Himalayan kingdom of Sikkim. The strife in Lanka has been fueled by India since the early 1980’s. While it did not forcibly occupy Punjab India double talked Sikhs into joining the union in 1947. Many false promises were made and many inducements like special privileges for Sikhs were held out.

By 1950 the Sikhs knew they had been tricked and they refused to sign the Indian constitution. But they suffered as slaves for want of a powerful and visionary leader to lead them out of the mess they had trapped themselves in. That void was filled with distinction by the late Sant Jarnail Singh Khalsa Bhindranwale who voiced the majority Sikh sentiment for freedom. That great voice which still beckons Sikh youths to martyrdom could not be tolerated by Delhi.

What Iraq did to Kuwait has been happening to Punjab for over a decade. Indian occupation forces have murdered raped and pillaged the Sikh homeland with impunity. By conservative estimates over 80000 Sikhs have been killed by the Indian state since 1984 and the murder is continuing.

The world watches silently as it deems Kashmir and Punjab to be part of India. They are as much part of India as Estonia Latvia and Lithuania are part of the Soviet Union.

The mistake India is making much as Iraq miscalculated is that it will get away with it. Once in a way Indian leaders make an insincere offer to negotiate with the Sikhs much as Chandra Shekhar is doing now. Sikhs had wrongly placed much hope in his predecessor VP Singh also. The Indian political system is so corrupt and defunct that even if a leader were sincere his hands are already tied in keeping his own position intact. So far the violence let loose by India to teach Sikhs a lesson’ in the words of Rajiv Gandhi has been unrelenting. Chandra Shekhar knows that he would not survive an hour if he conceded even an inch to the Sikhs. He is office at the mercy of the butcher Rajiv Gandhi.

The militants have made impressive gains this past year. It is their writ and not the government’s which law is in Punjab. At long last the language of the land is used in its offices and works on all anti-Sikh projects like the SYL canal are at a standstill. It is only a matter of time that all traces of India’s authority will disappear from Khalistan.

Kuwait will soon be free thanks to the great power of this country. The Sikhs Kashmiris Assamese and other oppressed minorities must fight single handedly to win their freedom. They are fighting forgotten secret wars. But every Sikh knows in his heart that his nation will one day be liberated as surely as Kuwait will be rid of its terrible occupation.

We must remember that time is on our side The Evil Hindu empire is falling apart of its own accord thanks to the rot sowed by Brahamical dogma. We must unite and be patient.
