ROURKELA: India’s sprint queen P.T.Usha will tie the nuptial knot April 25 her fiancé has said.
Usha one of the greatest woman athletes of the country got engaged March 3 to Vengalil Srinivasan at her village Meladi Payyoli in Kerala’s Calicut district. The wedding would be solemnized at the Azkodidevi Mandiramhat in Calicut.
“It is an arranged marriage approved by parents from both sides” 29-yr-old Srinivasan now working as a sub-inspector in the Central Industrial Security Force here told PTI.
Srinivasan who hails from Ponnai village in Calicut’s neighboring Malapuram district said “I am happy to have the golden girl of Indian athletics as my life partner.”
