PATIALA: The Hindu Shiv Sena (North Zone) has urged the government to take some concrete measures to protect the minority community in the state before January 15 otherwise it would take up arms to protect national unity and integrity.
The Shiv Sena president Mr Pawan Kumar Sharma demanded the deployment of the Anny in the state to combat militancy. The change of Governor will not serve any purpose he said. He demanded the recall of the Governor Gen O.P. Malhotra who according to him is a puppet in the hands of the government.
Mr Sharma said members of the minority community had now started migrating from Samana Pat: ran and Ghagha areas of district and adjoining areas in Ropar and Bathinda districts to the nearby cities or the neighboring States.
Mr Sharma called upon the Hindus to unite on one platform: Mr Sharma advised militant outfits the Indian Lions and Indian National Army to step up their activities.
He condemned the resolution adopted by various militant outfits during the annual Shahidi Mela at Fategarh Sahib from Dec 25 to 27.
