LUDHIANA: Acting Jethedar of the Akal Takht Bhai Manjit Singh is leaving on a three-nation six week tour on July 6
He shall be visiting the United States Canada and England during this period giving lectures on Sikh youth and Sikh women in western culture mobilize foreign Sikh scholars for participation in the ensuing world Sikh summit and giving interviews to major newspapers of those countries.
Bhai Manjit Singh in fact shall he heading 3 member-delegation of Sikh scholars on this tour besides being accompanied by a Punjab and Sikh Bank official and his close confidant Mahinderjit Singh.
The scholars accompanying him include Darshan Singh Parkash Kaur Onkar Singh Kehar Singh Gumam Kaur-and Balkar Singh. The last of these have already been in Canada more than a month They shall visit New York Toronto Los Angeles California Chicago and London besides other places.
