EDMINGTON: Bi Pritpal Kaur Grewal, the wife of late Prof Tilok Singh Grewal held the bhog of sadharan path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib on March 26 in the memory of her husband on his fourth death anniversary. A sum of $525 was donated to the World Sikh News to mark the occasion.
Prof Tilok Singh Grewal was the professor of political science at the Khalsa College in Lyalpur (now in Pakistan) for a number of years. He settled down in Raikot, Punjab after 1947. He passed away in 1985.
He was the father of S. Bhupinder Singh Grewal, Dr. Gurinder Singh Grewal and S. Surinder Grewal. All the three families were together on the occasion at the newly built residence of the youngest brother S. Surinder Singh Grewal.
Bibi Pritpal Kaur had completed three sadharan paths all of which she recited herself rather than through the services of any pathi. One path was to mark Prof Tilok Singh’s anniversary one to seek the Akal Purkh’s blessing for S. Surinder Singh Grewal’s newly built house and one to thank the Akal Purkh for blessing S. Surinder Singh and Mrs. Inderpreet Kaur with a son, Parampal Singh.
