WHEREAS: San Francisco is proud to HONOR and RECOGNIZE the BAISAKHI DAY of 1989, marking the 290th Birthday of the KHALSA PANTH/SIKH NATION, commemorating the occasion when GURU GOBIND SINGH, Tenth Master of the Sikhs introduced the distinctive marks of the Sikh identity; and
WHEREAS: San Francisco is pleased to extend its CONGRATULATIONS and BEST WISHES to the Sikh Community of San Francisco on its celebration of this important anniversary; and
WHEREAS: the Sikh Community will celebrate this significant holiday with a parade/procession with participation by Sikh Temples from California and Western Canada; now
