CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government Friday appointed Justice Harbans Rai, sitting judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court as a one man commission of inquiry to probe the mysterious death of Jagdev Singh Khudian, a parliamentarian belonging to the Mann faction of the Sikh Akali party.
The commission has been asked to submit its report to the Punjab government within one month.
The headquarters of the commission will be at Chandigarh.
Khudian disappeared under mysterious circumstances from his native village Khudian in Faridkot district on December 28. His body ‘was recovered from the Rajasthan canal on January 3.
