PANJIM: Life in western Goa state was gradually limping back to normal after three days of violence in some parts of the state in the wake of the pro-English stir.
Milk supply, petrol, diesel, kerosene and other essential articles, which were in short supply, reached the affected towns of Vasco and Margao Friday morning, official sources said.
Meanwhile police said the fire gutted several shops in Mapusa market, 10 km from here.
In Margao and Vasco, citizens have formed vigilance groups to provide protection to shop keepers and others trying to go about their Routine chores.
The pro English agitators were ‘on rampage following state government’s decision to give grant to primary schools only if they imparted education in any regional language, like Konkani or Marathi.
