NEW DELHI: While old faithful are bent upon inducting someone from the Neha dynasty into India’s polities the family it self is showing extreme reluctance. In a quiet move Mahabir Prasad President of UP. Congress (I) Committee announced the election of late Rajiv Gandhi’s school going daughter to the U.P. Congress Committee from Agra district but the family lost no time in disowning the election “because of Priyanka seduction at commitments”. Elections to offices of India’s ruling panty are a strange affair: those who are for even primary members of the party can be “elected” to top positions white those who may have put in years in the party may not even get elected to the primary units. The elections are mostly rigged by those who are on the right side of the national leadership.
