Poll panel chief says his phone is tapped by India

NEW DELHI: India’s chief election commissioner T.N,Seshan in a newspaper interview published early this week alleged that his telephone was bugged by Indian intelligence agencies and that he had to have his phone number changed “every fortnight” to escape the bugging. Seshan said he had discovered a bugging device in his office. But the Indian government denied the charge as untrue.
