Police also denied that Sukhminder Singh, gunman of Rajdev Singh was hacked to death by some people after he fired in the air following certain allegations leveled by an All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) leader Daljit Singh Mallan at a function in Thikriwal village in Sangrur district.
OP Sharma, Inspector General (Intelligence) said Sukhminder Singh had received some injuries at the hands of some agitated people and he was progressing in a hospital at Barnala.
Sharma said no one was injured. in the firing as the shots were fired in the air only.
