NEW DELHI: The Election Commission on November 23 held that the Prime Minister, Rajiy Gandhi should “not have” made the announcement of a Rs 5,000 crore Indira Mahila Yojana on the eve of the general elections.
Announcing this, the Chief Election Commissioner, R.V.S Peri Sastri said the Commission would inform the Prime Minister of its decision.
