Khalsa and General Secretary DS.Gill in a joint statement denied knowledge of the abduction of the nephew of Deputy Superintendent Police Grewal by) militants An allegation to that effect was made by Patiala district police chief S.P.Sharma. The two human rights activists wondered as to how they could dissuade militants from: abducting the kin. of the police officers when the guardians of the law and order themselves indulged in the lawless activities by abducting the relations of the militants. They said that the game of abductions must come to an end and the beginning has to be made by the police officers.
