NEW DELHI-: Photographers on Aug.20 boycotted all function related to the 50th birth anniversary celebrations of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in protest against’ the alleged “high handedness” of security officials at Vir Bhoomi.

The boycott was only an expression of the wrath of the agitated photographers who were prevented from covering an important event” they said in a memorandum and “has nothing whatsoever against the late Prime Minister. They said in the name of security the officials have been hampering the visual media from performing their professional duties and they have been humiliated frequently.
