NEW DELHI (PTI): Indian government will seriously examine the possibility of providing arms to the common people to fight militants in Doda district in the strift-torn Jammu and Kashmir Site. Central home minister S.B.Chayan saidin the lower house of the parliament (Lok Sabha) May 7 that the government would try to bring the Cantonment area nearer to Doda so that the district could be freed from militants. Sumitra Mahajan, a member of parliament, said that the entire Doda district should be handed Over to the army and added that People did not trust the Jammu and Kashmir state police.
