CHICAGO: The Punjabi Cultural Society of Chicago an organization devoted to promoting Punjabi culture and performing arts in metropolitan Chicago area organized fin exciting Punjabi dinner and dance program called “Azo Nachiye” on Dec. 23 at the Viceroy of India Banquet Hall in Lombard, Illinois.
A live band from Toronto Canada “Livleen and the Dest Boyz” entertained the audience superbly adr kept the dance floor packed with their smashing hit Bhangra songs and lively music. The audience also danced to the DJ music of “Dhamaka” till Tam. To celebrate the bygone 1995 and to welcome 1996. Several wonderful prizes were raffled off to add to the excitement. The program was sold out in advance and only slightly over 300 could attend the party due to limited space. It was also where PCS last yours achievements were enumerated The outgoing President Thakar Singh Basati and honorary Chairman Laichwant Singh Komal were honored by the chief guest Dr. Surjit Singh Patheja of Valparaiso Indiana, who stressed fraternity among, Punjabis during his address to the attendees. Swaranjit Singh Dhillon was recognized for his continued support ta P.C.S.
