CHANDIGARH: A Former Union Labour Minister and Janata Dal MP, Mr, Ram Bilas Paswan, hopes that the National Front Left Front combine Will emerge victorious in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Talking-to newsmen at the UT Guest House here Aug.Sth, Paswan said the NF-LF alliance hoped to gamer about 300 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, which are likely in March.

The ruling Congress, he said, might not be able to get even 100 seats the NFLF combine, he added, would not only oppose the Congress but also the BJP. Further, it would have no truck with political parties which had any understanding or alliance with either the BJP or the Congress. Paswan said both the BJP and the Congresshad chalked out a joint strategy to form the next government together with P.V. Narasimha Rao as Prime Minister. After sometime, the BJP would go in for power at the Center on its own, The establishment that had been supporting the Congress so far was now changing its loyalty to the BJP. “The Lok Sabha elections,” he said,” are always on issues. As such the NFLF alliance has formed a joint committee of finalize the preliminary program by identifying issues and formulating policies and programs. By August end leaders of the NF or Left Front will start undertaking tours at the end of the monsoon session of Parliament on August25. In October, the leaders of the NFLF alliance will undertake joint tours and address public rallies.” ‘The JD leader said though the Opposition governments, both in states and at the Center, might not have lasted full terms but they did not indulge in corruption as was being done by the present Congress Government. In five states, the NFLF alliances had been in powers.
