SANGRUR: Ram Vilas Paswan, Seen General, Janata Dal (JD), has Predicted hung Lok Sabha after coming Parliamentary elections.
“He said the Janata Dal would sumtion a meeting of the National Front and the Left Front, besides the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), the Samajwadi Party ted by Mulayam Singh Yadav and the AIADMK led by Jayalalitha and other likeminded regional parties in the last week of July to chalk out a strategy torrout the Congress. “He said his party was in favor of 10% reservation for economically weaker upper-class and 10% reservation for minorities like Muslims.
“He stated he was not in favor to leaving out those Dalits who were in uplifted economically so long as backlog in the government jobs was not filled.
He ruled out the possibility of any electoral alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Congress. Replying another question, he said his party had not yet considered to have electoral alliance with the breakaway Tiwari ‘group of the Congress and reported to Say let us see first which was the official Congress.
Lashing out at the Beant Singh government, Paswan said he had broken all records of corruption. He charged the Beant Singh government with being in competition with his Haryana counterpart, Bhajan Lal, to surpass his corruption records.
He disclosed either an enquiry commission would be set up to probe the corruption charges against the Beant Singh government or the matter would be referred to the Lok Ayukta, if the JD was voted to power.
He lamented the role of the Chief Election Commissioner, T.N. Seshan, in not initiating any action against the Beant Singh government for gross violation of model code of conduct during Gidderbaha by-election.
He said the case under TADA against Sanjay Dutt, acinestar of the film industry, was purely politically motivated and demanded to scrap the TADA against him, The prosecution against Dutt should be for leaping arms with him illegally and he should be tried under criminal procedure code, Paswan added. He questioned how a superstar can be a militant.
