AMRITSAR: The heads of the 5members Panthic committee Baba Gurbachan Singh Mano chahl and Baba Wassan Singh Zafarwal in a joint statement strongly denounced the circulation of a report attributed to them that the committee would fight the election in Punjab. This was a malicious Indian govt move they said.
This report was published in the national daily, the Times of India. The two leader’s reiterated their stand that to take part in any election by Sikhs in India would be a betrayal of their cause. This would not be tolerated they said. Baba Manochahl again called on all Sikhs to boycott the elections and all those who took part in them.
When we do not recognize India as our nation, how can we take part in their elections” they said.
