CHANDIGARH : Mr. Harinder Singh Kahlon and the five member Panthic Committee took a strong note of the statement made by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Surjit Singh Bamnala during a meeting of National Integration Council that illegal occupation of the part of the Temple would be vacated, In a joint statement with Mr. Gurbachan Singh and Mr, Harinder Singh Kahlon said that no part of the Golden Temple was under occupation of anybody, The Damdami Taksal was undertaking Kar-sewa of Akal Takat in which the Sikh masses were participating. He alleged that the communal Central Government and the section of Press were indulging in the malicious propaganda in order to engineer trouble among the Sikhs. They condemned the shifting of Bhai Mohkam Singh of Damdami Taksal from the Sangrur Jail to an un-disclosed destination and demanded his immediate release. The United Akali Dal and the Panthic Committee criticized the statements of Director General of Police, Mr. J.P. Rebiero said that Bhai Mohkam Singh will not be released, In a separate statement a spokesman said that since Mr. ‘Mohkam Singh was in judicial custody, Mr. Rebiero had no right to comment on his release. Meanwhile, it is learned that Bhai Mohkam Singh was taken to Delhi According to police sources; C.B. has taken him to Delhi for interrogation.
