SANTA CLARA: Panthak Committee in a statement which is signed by Dr.Sohan Singh, Bh. Daljit Singh, Bh. Harminder Singh Bh. Shahbaj Singh and Bh. Satinderpal Singh members Panthak Committee has appealed to all the Sikh Sangat, particularly gurdwara committees and Sikhs living in U.S.A., Canada, England and all other western countries to donate liberals in aid of victims of floods in Pakistan and Afghanistan, The statement comes in the wake of news of floods in Pakistan in which thousands of men, women and children have died and millions others are stranded and property worth millions of dollars has been destroyed.
This natural calamity is termed as most unfortunate for the people of Pakistan, next door neighbor of Khalistan. Prayers are offered for protection by Allah (Guru) of millions of suffering people and granting them of courage to deal with this sorrowful event.
The Sikhs has been reminded of their religious, historical and moral duty towards suffering human beings by citing the example of Bhai Ghaniya ji who served friend and foe alike in the baflefield by giving them water and who was blessed by 10th Master Guru Gobind Singh ji by providing him –balm which was also to be applied on the wounds of injured foes. Bhai Ghanaya in fact is the founder of International Red Cross.
Panthak Committee statement ends with the Gurbani quotation,
“ghal Khahe Kich Hathem Deh Nanak Rah Pachaneh Se
“Those who earn their breed honestly and donate towards humanitarian, charitable cause, are walking on the road to Godly bliss.”
Khalistan Affairs Center is coordinating efforts for money donation by different Gurdwara Committees and individuals for Pakistan flood victims.
