HYDERABAD: Palestinian Ambassador to India Khalid Al Sheikh has expressed once over the recent visit of Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Shimon Peres and his utterances on the Kashmir issue. The envoy warned India against taking any help from the “biggest fundamentalist and terrorist state on earth.”

Addressing a public meeting in Hyderabad on May 23, the envoy said that the visit had put in doubt India’s relations with Arab nations and its support for the Palestinian cause.

He condemned the advice given by Peres that India should change the demographic position of Kashmir; Sheikh warned that this would be another form of ethnic cleansing. “Israel wants India to beat its people the same way as it has been beating young Palestinian boys to crush the struggle in occupied West Bank and Gaza strip,” he said.

Sheikh appealed to “our friends in the Congress to keep in mind the Tirupati resolution of the AICC of not upgrading relations with Israel until it proves itself a peace-loving country and Palestinians are given their night.
