NEW DELHI: The country’s largest political party the Congress-I reacted to the call of hartal (strike) in Pakistan on Kashmir issue saying “it is pernicious and unacceptable” and amounted to interference in India’s internal affairs. Party spokesman M.J. Akbar told reporters that Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif’s “so called concern for Kashmir is nothing but an attempt to divert popular anger against his government’s collaboration with neo colonialism”
Nawaz Sharif could not fool his people by whipping up Kashmir as an all-purpose issue to protect himself Akbar said.
