RAWALPINDE: Pakistan foreign office protested to India recently on its failure to hand over bodies of Intikhab Ahemed Ziaand Habibullah. The two had allegedly died in an encounter with Indian security forces near Phagwara in Indian Punjab last month. A government spokesman said expressed “resentment and concern” and said that Indias refusal lent credence to fears that the two Pakistan nationals had in fact been picked up and incarcerated by the Indian authorities.

Meanwhile Anwar Burney a human rights activist of Pakistan sat in front of Indian high commission office here along with relations of Zia to demand return of the dead bodies. The Indian authorities instead of conceding the request pointed out “discrepancies” in the visa applications of the two dead persons.

Meanwhile it is apprehended that Pakistan might retaliate against Indian intelligence men operating in Pakistan soon in some manner to avenge the deaths of two of its nationals at the hands of Indian security forces.
