NEW DELHI: Pakistan has concluded a major defense deal with Poland for the supply of 400 T72 C tanks. The deal which was concluded in Islamabad on January 18 during the visit of a high level Polish military delegation, gives Pakistan the option of buying another 200 such tanks. One hundred T72 G tanks will be shipped to Pakistan within 60: days and another 100 tanks within the next six months. The remaining 200 tanks will*be supplied during the first half of 1994 . The puce of each tank is 7.5 lakh US dollars. The experts Say that Pakistan is likely to be financed by Some oil rich country to acquire the latest version of the T72 tanks.
