ISLAMBAD: Pakistan army chief Gen Mirza Aslam Beg has reiterated Islamabad’s support to Kashmir militants, but denied any actual involvement in the valley.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the Qasim Aviation base in RawaIpindi, Beg claimed that the Pakistani army was today better equipped, better trained and better motivated than ever before.
But Pakistan cherished peace and did not want war, he said. “But if a situation so arises, the nation will not find its army wanting,” he added.
